  6. The Crimson Box is very simple device
  7. that will allow you to put someone on
  8. hold or make your fone busy with a
  9. large amount of ease. You flip a switch
  10. and the person can't hear you talking.
  11. Flip it back and everything is peechy.

  17. (1) 100 ohm or less resistor
  18. (1) SPDT toggle switch, On-On
  19. (3) feet of good wire

  30. First I will give you the schematic and
  31. then I will explain what the hell is
  32. going on.

  44. Ok. The '/\/\/' is the resistor. And
  45. '1 2 3' is the switch where the numbers
  46. are the poles on the switch. Notice you
  47. leave the black and yellow wires alone.
  48. You DO NOT cut them!
  49.  
  50. Strip the red and green wires so you've
  51. got about an inch of bare wire. Solder
  52. some of the extra wire and follow the
  53. schematic. You should have the resistor
  54. on the green wire with an extra piece
  55. of wire coming from one leg of it. The
  56. other leg goes to the other end of the
  57. green wire. You should solder the green
  58. wire to the left pole of the switch and
  59. the red to the middle and the other
  60. end of the red to the right pole.

  62. Now, lift up the phone. If all you get
  63. is an annoying buzz then throw the
  64. [switch and you should get a dial tone.
  65.  
  66. If not, don't worry and just follow the
  67. instructions and schematic again.
